The Mallorca event concluded the first edition of the Rafa Nadal Padel Tour by The Adecco Group circuit, an innovative amateur padel circuit that combines sport, leisure, fun, and values.
The event was held at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar’s own facilities with great success in participation, featuring numerous teams from the peninsula. In addition to the matches, the many leisure events that are already part of the Tour’s DNA took center stage. With the conclusion of this event, the first edition, which included tournaments in Santander, Madrid, Valladolid, Alicante, Barcelona, and Mallorca, is now complete. A clear sign of its success is that the Rafa Nadal Padel Tour by The Adecco Group is a candidate to win the award for best amateur circuit of the year at the “World Padel Awards” organized annually by Padel Spain.
Maribel Nadal, Deputy General Director of the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar, has reviewed the event: “We are very happy with how this first year has unfolded, as the reception from players has been incredible. The team format has definitely been a success, and combining sport and leisure has created a spectacular atmosphere at each event. We are already designing the second edition to incorporate new features that will consolidate this circuit as one of the most important in the world, and at the request of many clubs and countries, we are also considering internationalizing the circuit, which would be spectacular.”
Players have evaluated the circuit very positively due to the treatment received, the quality of the organization, the BABOLAT prizes, and the spectacular Welcome Pack, which included Nike t-shirts, products offered by NDL Pro-Health, Babolat wristbands, Príncipe cookies, and sun protection from Cantabria Labs. In addition to the BABOLAT rackets won by the champions, raffles and gifts were also provided by QuirónSalud, ZEL, and Bezoya, partners of the circuit. Furthermore, the champions of each event won tickets to cheer on the Rafa Nadal Academy team in their debut at the Hexagon Cup, which will be held from January 29 to February 2 at the Madrid Arena.
Known for its prestige in training young tennis players since its opening in 2016, the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar has also embraced padel through the development of training programs for young people and adults in state-of-the-art facilities that house 9 outdoor courts and 7 indoor courts. Its fitness center, pioneering health and wellness spaces, wide range of dining options, and modern residence make the Rafa Nadal Academy one of the ideal places for playing padel. Now, with the organization of the Rafa Nadal Academy Padel Tour by The Adecco Group, the goal is to share the values, methodology, and DNA of the academy within the amateur padel environment through an innovative circuit that is here to stay.
