Regulations and General Information

Introduction

The RNA PT is an amateur competition, organized by Metodika Eventos SL. and owned by Rafa Nadal Academy.

The Tour is subject to the rules detailed below, in addition to the F.E.P.’s etiquette, conduct, and discipline regulations.

Registration for any of the Tour’s tournaments implies that all participants declare to know and accept these regulations, that they accept the decisions made by the Tour’s Competition Committee (even on aspects not included in this document), and waive all claims for damages that players may suffer due to their participation.

The Tour

Composed of 8 tournaments, distributed throughout Spain as follows: Santander, Madrid, Cadiz, Valladolid, Estepona, Seville, Valencia, Gijón, and Palma de Mallorca.

Registration

Teams must register on the official website within the established deadlines, at www.rafanadalacademypadeltour.com.

The registration fee is €180/team and includes:

● 6 welcome packs (one per player)

● a minimum of 2 guaranteed matches per team

● participation in various raffles during the competition

● courts and balls

● trophies for champion and runner-up teams in each category

*If a team wishes to include a seventh player, this player will act as a RESERVE PLAYER. They must register through the tournament registration platform before the deadline and pay the corresponding €30 registration fee, which includes:

● One welcome pack

● possibility of playing matches

● participation in various raffles/activations during the competition.

The registration of the reserve player DOES NOT INCLUDE the final prize (should the team win it).

A team will be considered registered once it has completed the registration form and made the corresponding payment within the established period.

Once the team is registered, player changes can be made before the game brackets are finalized. Once the competition begins, in case of injury/illness of a player, only one substitution can be made. The new member is not entitled to WP, and their ranking/level must be lower than that of the player they are replacing. The referee may request medical proof of the injury/illness.

Category Selection

Teams must choose their category according to the regional ranking of their players. A table is provided that specifies which ranking corresponds to each category according to the autonomous community.

*Consult information table

Categories

Men’s:

· Viper Category – HIGH LEVEL – 1000 SNP level

· Veron Category – MEDIUM LEVEL – 500 SNP level

Women’s:

· Energy Category – HIGH LEVEL – 1000 SNP level
· Stima Category – MEDIUM LEVEL – 500 SNP level

Teams

Each team will consist of 6 or 7 players (3 pairs and an extra player) who will play all matches.

The team will be led by a Captain, who will be one of the 6 or 7 players, and will be responsible for setting the lineup for each match and submitting it to the referee 15 minutes before the scheduled match time.

The lineup for each match can be freely chosen from the 7 team members, specifying which players play in: PAIR 1, PAIR 2, and PAIR 3

The Captain

The team Captain is responsible for verifying that their registered players comply with the Federated Regional Ranking Regulations. The referee may expel from the team any player who violates this requirement, resulting in the loss of the corresponding point in the match, as soon as the infraction is known, without the right to a refund of the registration fee.

Winning a championship title in a category of an RNA PT tournament entails automatic and mandatory promotion to the next higher category, which will be valid for registration in the following year.

The referee and the organization reserve the right to expel, or change the category (if the tournament development allows it) of any team whose players are deemed not to correspond to the category in which they are registered, without a refund of the registration fee.

Competition Format

The tournament will be played in a knockout system, with game brackets divided into 4 categories, where no team is eliminated in the first round, and in the second round, winners face the losers of the first match.

The minimum number of registered teams for a category to be played is 6 teams.

Matches will be best of three, played by each of the pairs chosen by the team Captain, who must submit the lineup to the tournament referee up to 15 minutes before the match begins.

Matches will be played best of 3 sets with a tie-break in the first two, and in case of a set tie, a 10-point super tie-break will be played. The competition uses a golden point; in the golden point, the receiving pair will decide

the server’s side. The draw and order of play will be established by the referee, depending on the courts available for the championship, but all 3 team matches will always be played simultaneously.

A delay of more than 15 minutes by a team pair, without justified cause, will result in a penalty for the pair by walkover (W.O.), and the team will lose that point.

The absence of a pair in one of their matches will result, whatever the cause, in the loss of that point in the knockout round, but not the total elimination of the team; that is, the remaining two points will be played.

Players

Men and women over 18 years old (as of the tournament date) may play, without needing a federated license to participate. If necessary, the organization may request the National Identity Document (DNI) of participants for any circumstance related to the competition.

Furthermore, any type of unsportsmanlike conduct: verbal abuse, aggression, or aggressive attitudes/gestures will be sanctioned with disqualification, if deemed appropriate by the Tour organization.

– Limitation of players who cannot participate in the RNA PT:

Any player falling within the following points will not be able to participate in the RNA PT in the current season.

1. Is within the classification limitations of Autonomous Communities established by the RNA PT organization.

2. Is or has been part of the Selection representing their Autonomous Community in the Federated Spanish Team Championship (absolute category) in the edition played prior to the first registration closing date of the current RNA PADEL TOUR edition.

3. Appears in the FIP ranking with more than 0 points. Any player who, even without World Padel Tour or FIP points, has played in any event on said professional circuit (World Padel Tour, FIP, Premier Padel, or Ultimate Padel) in the last ten years since the current edition of the RNA PADEL TOUR.

The classification limitations of Autonomous Communities are reflected in the lists of excluded players, where the group in which each player can participate according to this limitation can be identified.

Any claim regarding the lists published by the RNA PT concerning excluded players of any level must be made before the registration closing date for the area where the player in question participates; otherwise, such a claim will be invalid, and what is published by the organization will be considered official.

Award Ceremony

The attendance of all team members at the trophy and prize ceremony is essential. Otherwise, absent players will lose all rights to receive them. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the last final of all categories.

If a team does not show up and does not play the tournament final, they immediately lose the option to the prize.

Cancellation of Team Registrations

Cancellation of a registration and refund of the amount paid may be requested, provided it is done 4 days prior to the registration closing date of the tournament for which they registered, even if the reason for such cancellation is the non-compliance with the ranking regulations of the team members.

You must send an email to the tournament referee requesting said cancellation.

Competition Committee

Appointed by the organizers, it will be competent, as the sole authority, to resolve any dispute that arises in the tournaments, including the selection of the rules of the Code of Conduct deemed applicable in each case. The Competition Committee reserves the right to modify without prior notice, in part or in whole, any point related to the tournament, categories, dates, and regulations.

The RNA Padel Tour organization reserves the right to suspend or modify the competition due to force majeure and/or to alter the order, suspend, modify, or adapt any of its tournaments.
